UC Law SF Negotiation and Mediation Team Places First at International Mediation Tournament
The UC Law SF Negotiation and Mediation Team won 1st Place in Mediation at the International Academy of Dispute Resolution International Mediation Tournament held last week at the University of Nebraska School of Law.
After a 3-day tournament in the disciplines of mediation and advocacy, participants were recognized both for their individual work in each of the rounds, as well as their collective aggregate performance as a team.
2Ls Danielle Santucci, Andrea Isaacs, and Emily Lynch emerged as the champions of the tournament while also taking home a significant amount of individual awards. Not to be outshined, the 1L team of Rachel Lydon, Olivia Molodanof, and Kerry Roberson placed 3rd in Mediation.
Awards are given to recognize the Top 10 individual performances and the Top 4 aggregate team performances. UC Law SF dominated the entire field, which featured top law schools from around the country, and their total award count was as follows:
- 1st Place Team Mediation: Danielle Santucci, Andrea Isaacs, and Emily Lynch
- 1st Place Mediation: Danielle Santucci
- 2nd Place Team Advocacy: Danielle Santucci, Andrea Isaacs, and Emily Lynch
- 3rd Place Team Mediation: Kerry Roberson, Rachel Lydon, and Olivia Molodanof
- 4th Place Advocacy: Emily Lynch and Danielle Santucci
- 5th Place Mediation: Andrea Isaacs
- 6th Place Advocacy: Olivia Molodanof, Kerry Roberson
- 7th Place Mediation: Kerry Roberson
- 9th Place Advocacy: Andrea Isaacs and Emily Lynch
- 10th Place Mediation: Rachel Lydon
Remarkably, the two UC Law SF squads also tied for first place in the voting for the competitor-voted Spirit of Mediation Award, given to the team that competitors voted as the strongest performers and the best to work with in Mediation.
