Simon Luu ’25 and Jacqueline Mejía-Cuéllar ’25  were honored as the 2022-23 Wilson Sonsini Foundation Diversity Scholars.

Two UC Law San Francisco students were recently awarded prestigious scholarships as part of the California ChangeLawyers Diversity Scholarship Program.

Wilson Sonsini, a Silicon Valley-based international law firm, announced that Simon Luu ’25 and Jaqueline Mejía-Cuéllar ’25 were named Diversity Scholars for the 2022-23 academic year.

The scholarships are awarded annually to aspiring lawyers who are first-generation college students, people of color, and/or members of the LGBTQ+ community with lived experiences that are underrepresented in the halls of power.

According to Wilson Sonsini, Luu and Mejía-Cuéllar are both children of immigrants and the first in their families to attend college. Wilson Sonsini sponsored the scholarship awards and paired both law students with practicing attorney mentors.
