The 18th Annual AALS Alternative Dispute Resolution Works-in-Progress Conference (WIP)

Description

The AALS ADR Works-in-Progress Conference (“WIP”) brings together dispute resolution scholars, teachers, and practitioners to present and receive feedback on their scholarly ideas and projects in a welcoming and collegial environment. Projects at any stage are welcome.

This year’s WIP will include a special plenary workshop.  Presenters selected for the workshop will be paired with a senior scholar, who will provide feedback and generate discussion about what constitutes good scholarship in the ADR field. Those interested in participating in the plenary should submit draft papers for consideration by the registration deadline. Junior scholars and newcomers to the field are especially encouraged to apply.  In addition to the plenary, we envision the usual parallel-track panel format and special sessions for more beginning stage “ideas in progress.”

The conference will be held in a hybrid format. Zoom access will be limited to a webinar format, in which remote participants may submit questions through the chat. Presenters are strongly encouraged to participate in person.
