California Governor Gavin Newsom has appointed UC Law SF alumna A. Ashley Tabaddor ’97 to serve as a judge on the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
With a strong commitment to immigration law and public service, Tabaddor most recently served as chief counsel at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services from 2021 to 2025. Earlier in her career, she served as an immigration judge at the Executive Office for Immigration Review from 2005 to 2021 and as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Central District of California from 2002 to 2005.
Tabaddor’s appointment reflects the College’s longstanding tradition of preparing graduates who go on to serve as judges and leaders in law and public service.
