Bio
Joshua (Josh) Perttula was appointed to the UC Law SF Board of Directors in 2025. Perttula is the Co-Founder and a current member of the Investment Committee of Abington Emerson Investments as well as the Founding Member of Kirra Consulting. He previously worked for the U.S. Department of Education and as a City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles. Perttula is a licensed real estate broker in the State of California, a past member of the Board of Trustees of the California State Bar and the former Chair of the California Supreme Court’s Blue Ribbon Commission on the Future of the Bar Exam. Perttula earned a B.A. in both Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Irvine and a J.D. from UC Law SF.
