Elena Gekker

Bio

Elena Gekker is a senior attorney with the California Public Utilities Commission, specializing in administrative litigation and appellate advocacy. Prior to joining the CPUC, Elena was in private practice at both mid- and large law firms, working in areas of civil litigation, administrative law, environmental regulation, CEQA compliance, and land use law. Following law school, Elena worked as a Legal Research Attorney with the San Francisco Superior Court Presiding Judge’s Department.  Elena earned her J.D. from UC Hastings, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Women’s Law Journal, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Notre Dame de Namur University.
