Bio
Sunney Darling is an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Legal Studies program and concurrently works as a Senior Staff Attorney in Bay Area Legal Aid’s Economic Justice Unit. She came to Bay Area Legal Aid in 2021 after completing her Skadden Fellowship with the Victim Rights Law Center, where she specialized in assisting survivors of sexual assault and stalking with protection orders and public benefits. Before becoming an attorney, she completed multiple years of crisis management work in multiple states and earned a Masters of Mental Health Counseling from the University of Puget Sound. She graduated with her Juris Doctor from UCLA Law in 2019. Professor Darling specializes in client interviewing, serving clients with disabilities, economic justice, and community-centered poverty law practice.
