Bio
Laurel O’Connor is in-house counsel on DoorDash’s Insurance Litigation Team. She oversees a high-volume litigation portfolio. In her practice, she navigates an ever-changing landscape of tort litigation in the gig economy space. Prior to DoorDash, Laurel spent two and a half years in-house at Lyft and before that, over six years litigating on behalf of public agencies in matters ranging from high-value personal injury matters and contract disputes to constitutional class actions.
Laurel graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2015. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs (Judy and Teddy), chickens, and gardening. She recently started canning and learned to make candles. Despite her highly domestic hobbies, she does not consider herself a homesteader. Laurel is an avid international (and domestic) traveler, perpetually seeking adventure and delicious food.
