Judge Trina Thompson

Professor Scott Dodson

Scott Dodson
Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Litigation and the Courts, UC Law San Francisco

Professor Scott Dodson is an expert in civil procedure, federal courts, class actions, and Supreme Court litigation. He has published eleven book titles and more than 150 shorter works, and his scholarship has been cited in more than fifty judicial opinions. In 2024, he served as counsel of record for the petitioner in Harrow v. Department of Defense, securing a unanimous reversal from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Professor Richard Boswell

Richard Boswell
Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Global Programs, UC Law San Francisco

Professor Richard Boswell specializes in immigration law, international law, and clinical legal education. Before joining UC Law San Francisco, he founded the immigration clinic at the George Washington University National Law Center and directed its Trial Practice Program. He has authored numerous books and articles on immigration law, testified before congressional committees, and contributed to rule-of-law and justice projects around the world.

Moderator Biography

Rory K. Little
Sullivan Professor of Law, UC Law San Francisco

Professor Rory K. Little is a nationally recognized authority on constitutional law, criminal law and procedure, appellate litigation, and professional responsibility. Before joining the UC Law San Francisco faculty, he served as Appellate Chief for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California. He later served as an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice and has argued more than sixty federal and state appeals.
