Data, Power, Policy: Regulating the Datafield Workplace – The Future of Workplace Regulation

Join leading legal scholars, policymakers, and practitioners as they explore the future of workplace regulation in an era of rapid technological change. The Future of Workplace Regulation Colloquium examines how artificial intelligence, algorithmic management, employee data collection, digital surveillance, and other emerging technologies are reshaping employment law and the future of work, and the resounding impacts on workers.
Each session will feature a nationally recognized legal scholar or panel of experts presenting their cutting-edge research. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in an interactive discussion with the speaker(s), Seminar/Colloquium students, and other attendees.

Chief Advocacy Officer
Samantha Gordon is Chief Advocacy Officer at TechEquity Collaborative, leading advocacy campaigns on AI and technology policy after twelve years organizing with SEIU.
Mishal Khan
Senior Researcher, Technology and Work Program
Mishal Khan is a senior researcher in the Technology and Work Program at the UC Berkeley Labor Center, studying how digital surveillance and algorithmic management affect low-wage workers.
Wilneida Negrón
Director of Worker Innovation and Impact
Wilneida Negrón leads worker innovation and impact work at Coworker.org, researching how emerging technologies affect labor markets, worker surveillance, and algorithmic wage practices. She is also founder of the Future of Workers Initiative.
Aiha Nguyen
Program Director, Labor Futures Initiative
Aiha Nguyen directs the Labor Futures Program at Data & Society, where her research examines workplace surveillance, algorithmic management, and the labor implications of generative AI.
