Beginning a New Era: Into the Future

As the first and foremost law school in California, we have served as a beacon for the legal profession, guiding generation after generation. Founded in 1878, UC Law San Francisco has produced more graduates admitted to the California bar than any other school. Through your support, the lawyers, leaders, activists, inventors, partners, and public servants of UC Law SF will continue to succeed.

On behalf of the students, faculty, staff, and leadership of UC Law San Francisco, we invite you to join us in this campaign with a goal of raising $100 million. Your gifts will shape the practice of law, transform our law school, lead our society, and propel us Into the Future.

Today’s law students must navigate financial pressures in addition to the rigors of a top legal education. At the same time, the College faces stiff competition for the best and brightest students. The best law schools provide scholarships to attract and retain talented students, and UC Law SF’s students rely on them.

The quality of the faculty has long been a distinction for UC Law San Francisco. Our students have benefited from top-tier professors stretching back before the 65 Club and since. So many of our alumni remember those moments of clarity, encouragement, and advice that were inspired by a UC Law SF professor.

Faculty Excellence

UC Law San Francisco graduates are stepping into high-impact roles—and our educational opportunities and centers of excellence, including the AI Law & Innovation Institute and LexLab, help them get there. Our faculty influence policy at the highest levels and our research centers drive national conversations.

“We are a nation of laws and the lawyers and other policymakers who create or apply them. A UC Law San Francisco education prepares students for a world in profound need of good lawyers and other legally trained professionals. Your support is critical to carrying out our mission to educate the next generation.”
