Bio
Avery Vinson is the Lead Legal Research Instruction Librarian and is an Adjunct Professor. She teaches Advanced Legal Research for the J.D. program, Legal Research & Writing in the Health Policy & Law Program, and Legal Research for Non-Lawyers in the Master of Legal Studies program. She also is the Vice President for the Northern California Association of Law Libraries.
Prior to joining UC Law SF, Avery was an Assistant Professor and Student Services Specialist at her alma mater, the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she taught legal research. Prior to her academic career, Avery was an Equal Justice Works Fellow. She worked as a trial attorney representing elder clients in civil litigation. Before this, she began her legal career as a Public Defender. She is a member of the Florida Bar.
