Bio
Chaya Baliga is an in-house privacy attorney and joined the UC Law SF faculty in 2022 as an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Privacy Law. Chaya currently serves as Privacy Counsel at Google in Washington D.C., where she specializes in data incident response and product privacy counseling.
Chaya graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2012 where she graduated with a Public Interest & Social Justice Certificate with an Emphasis in Health Law. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
After over a decade in the Bay Area, Chaya recently returned to the Washington D.C. area where she lives with her husband and two kids. Her hobbies include calligraphy, painting, block printing and pub trivia.
