Bio
David Stiepleman is an Adjunct Professor specializing in private investment funds. He is a Co-Founding Partner and Co-President of the global investment firm Sixth Street. Prof. Stiepleman has been a cross-border corporate lawyer, senior executive, and business builder for more than 25 years, starting and running businesses, and representing clients, in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He is on the Board of Directors of StoryCorps; and is a strategic advisor to Westbound Equity Partners, an early-stage investment platform deploying financial and social capital into exceptional ventures led by, solving for, or built together with underrepresented people of color. Prof. Stiepleman also serves on the Advisory Council and is an English tutor for Mt. Tamalpais College, an accredited college at San Quentin State Prison in California. He received his BA in French and Political Science from Amherst College, and his law degree from Columbia Law School.
