Bio

Adjunct Professor Greg Turner has practiced in the state and local tax arena for more than thirty years. He currently serves as a Senior Administrative Law Judge at the California Office of Tax Appeals, an independent body established to hear appeals involving California corporate franchise and income taxes, personal income taxes, sales and use taxes, excise taxes, and other state taxes.

Over his career, Professor Turner has held a variety of positions, including legal staff in the California Legislature, Chief Deputy to a Member of the State Board of Equalization, and counsel at the law firms Nielsen Merksamer Parrinello Mueller & Naylor and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton. He has also worked with the California Taxpayers’ Association (Cal-Tax) and the Council on State Taxation (COST).
