Bio
Laurel O’Connor is in-house counsel on DoorDash’s Insurance Litigation Team, where she oversees a high-volume litigation portfolio and navigates the evolving landscape of tort litigation in the gig economy. Prior to joining DoorDash, Laurel spent two and a half years as in-house counsel at Lyft. Before moving in-house, she spent more than six years litigating on behalf of public agencies in matters ranging from high-value personal injury and contract disputes to constitutional class actions.
Laurel graduated summa cum laude from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2015. She enjoys sharing her home with her dog, Judy, and her chickens, as well as gardening. An avid animal lover, Laurel also fosters dogs for California Doodle Rescue when her schedule permits. She is an enthusiastic international and domestic traveler and is always looking for her next adventure.
