Bio

Raul Gonzalez, UC Law San Francisco Class of 2018, is a corporate associate in the San Francisco Office of Latham & Watkins LLP. Raul advises public and private companies on various corporate transactions, public company matters, and other corporate governance matters. Raul’s practice includes, among others, representing late-stage private companies in financing transactions and public company readiness, representing companies and underwriters in initial public offerings, public company representation, and representing companies and underwriters in public company transactions. Raul also maintains a robust pro bono practice representing and advising clients on various immigration matters, including permanent residency and asylum.

Raul was the local office leader of Latham’s LGBTQ Lawyers Group during his first two years of practice and was most recently a member of the Bay Area recruiting committee. Raul is a mentor for the Legal Education Access Pipeline and engages with other opportunities to mentor pre- and current law school students. While in law school, Raul served as a staff editor and the senior technology editor for the UC Law SF Journal and served on the Executive Board of the Latinx Law Students Association. Raul is currently on the Board of Governors of UC Law SF.

Raul was born and raised in Inglewood, California and received his B.A. from Columbia University.
