Bio

Professor Sakai supports LEOP students’ academic and bar success and teaches Critical Studies 1. Mr. Sakai was the Podium Professor for BarBri Bar Review for California, Nevada, and Oregon from 1994-2019. He previously served as Co-Director of Academic Support and Assistant Professor at the University of San Francisco, School of Law where he taught courses in Civil Procedure, Advanced Legal Analysis, Legal Analysis, Legal Research, and Advancing Communities through Law. He also taught Torts, Criminal Law, Wills and Trusts, and Legal Analysis at Santa Clara University, School of Law. Mr. Sakai was also the Director of the Legal Education Opportunity Program (LEOP) and an Assistant Professor of Evidence Advocacy at Hastings, his alma mater.
