Shamira Dwarica

Bio

Shamira Dwarica serves as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of California. She previously served as a Deputy Attorney General with the California Department of Justice, where she litigated complex civil matters in federal court, and clerked for the Honorable Laurel Beeler in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Earlier in her career, she handled healthcare regulatory and litigation matters at Nelson Hardiman (now Leech Tishman), advising and defending clients across the industry.

Shamira earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University. She is admitted to practice in California. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, she enjoys spending time in nature, preferably near water, and exploring new restaurants and open-air markets in the Bay Area.
