Bio

Simone works with students to create and administer pro bono opportunities that aim to make the promise of “justice for all” a reality. She facilitates on-site and local clinics for low-income clients, research projects with nonprofits, and alternative spring break trips for students to spend a week volunteering throughout California and in Mexico. Simone is passionate about offering programs and trainings that allow law students to help their communities, gain practical skills, and make meaningful connections with non-profits and lawyers. She received her J.D. from Berkeley Law with certificates in International Law and Public Interest and Social Justice, and she clerked for the Honorable William D. Cohen of the Vermont Supreme Court. She has been published and continues to write in the fields of reproductive justice and international human rights.
