CEALS Welcomes New Student Fellows Catherine Hu and Midori Matsuura

Catherine, originally from Taiwan, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems with a minor in Law and Society from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  At Cal Poly, she explored interests in Chinese political culture and technology ethics.  After graduation, she worked at OPPO, a global consumer electronics company.  For her 1L summer, Catherine interned at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) in its Competition Law Compliance Department, where she focused on antitrust issues.

Midori holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Indiana. Before transferring to USI, she completed two years of undergraduate study at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and studied abroad at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. At UC Law San Francisco, she serves as a Staff Editor for the UC Law Journal and as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Business Law Society. For her 1L summer, Midori worked as a summer law clerk at a boutique firm specializing in business law and supporting Japanese companies.
