Bio

Professor Henderson’s research and scholarship focus on the interplay between emerging technologies and the law. He came to UC Law SF in July 2024 as the Shashi and Dipanjan “DJ” Deb Faculty Scholar, serving as senior research fellow in the law school’s Center for Innovation and in the AI Law & Innovation Institute. He is now an assistant professor of law at SMU Dedman School of Law, and remains connected to C4i as an Affiliated Scholar.

Professor Henderson has served as general counsel of and advisor to hypergrowth technology companies, litigated complex commercial and white-collar matters in large law firms, and spent two years clerking on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. His scholarship has been cited in state and federal opinions, as well as in briefs to state high courts and to the Supreme Court of the United States.
