Lisa Noshay Petro

Director, Disability Resource Program

Bio

Lisa Noshay Petro, alumna (’98) and Director of UC Law SF Disability Resource Program, has worked with students in law, psychology, and other professional programs for over twenty years in both public and private postsecondary institutions. She works with close to 300 law students with disabilities each year, supporting many of them to develop skills in stress management, emotion regulation, multimodal study strategies, and executive function skills. Prior to this work, she had over ten years’ experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in various special education and social service settings in Arizona, California, and the New York metropolitan area. Lisa is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and believes her disabilities give her superpowers. In addition to her role at UC Law San Francisco, Lisa is an associate clinical social worker (ACSW) and has provided disability- and LGBTQIA-affirming psychotherapy fully remotely for diverse clients in the LA area. In her spare time (what spare time?) she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and art making.
