Bio

Tanzi joined the Center for Innovation (C4i) in 2023 after graduating from Yale with a double major in Mathematics and History. In his role as a Research Manager, Tanzi studies the implications of intellectual property law within the context of the healthcare industry, with a focus on the legal and administrative barriers to successful generic entries in the pharmaceutical market. He is passionate about identifying and enacting meaningful reforms to make prescription drugs and healthcare more accessible to everyday people.

Tanzi is originally from a small village in central Bangladesh. He first came to the U.S. as a State Department-sponsored exchange student and later decided to pursue his undergraduate degree at Yale. There, he studied theoretical mathematics with a focus in Algebraic Geometry as well as history, concentrating on the early national period of the United States. As a student, he also held several internships and part-time jobs in fields ranging from finance to academic research on the history of economic development in South Asia.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading obscure history books, going for a short hike, or watching old clips from the glory days of the Dallas Cowboys! He is also an avid traveler and speaks Bengali, English, and German.
