ICOP Informational Session

Come join NLG’s Bay-Area Law School-Wide Informational event on kickstarting a Bay Area Immigration Court Observation Program (ICOP).
The 60-90 minute event will introduce the concept of court watching for those new to the program. The tentative agenda includes:
1. Brief introduction by NLG Migrant Justice Committee Co-Chair on support the committee will provide to coordinate ICOP in lieu of a designated paid coordinator.
2. Introduction by law school professor on why ICOP is important.
3. Brief report backs from law students who participated in NLG – ICOP in 2019-2021.
4. Retired IJ’s feedback on shoring up data collection materials.
5. Participants Q & A – discussion
