We invite you to the ceremony to hear remarks from California Supreme Court Justice Kelli Evans, United States Eastern District of California Judge Troy Nunley ‘90, UC Law SF Board of Directors Member Andrew Houston, Sr. ’07, UC Law SF Chancellor & Dean David Faigman, UC Law SF Black Alumni Council Co-President Regina V. Evans ‘92, and California Association of Black Lawyers Board Member Ryan Harrison, Sr. ’14.

 

The Center, home to the school’s nine scholarly law journals, is located at the recently opened Academe at 198. This state-of-the-art facility named after Justice Wiley W. Manuel ’53 (dec.) recognizes a stellar legal career culminating in his appointment as the first African American associate justice of the Supreme Court of the State of California.

 

While at UC Law, Justice Manuel excelled receiving his degree with Order of the Coif honors and where he also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Law Journal, now UC Law Journal.
