Bio
Merry Jean Chan is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of California. She specializes in appeals and as Senior Litigation Counsel, provides training and community engagement opportunities for colleagues. She graduated from NYU School of Law and clerked for the Hon. Jon O. Newman of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She is an active volunteer at her children’s schools.
