As a UC Law SF student, whether you have UC SHIP, Medi-Cal, or private insurance, you have full access to the services provided by Carbon Health at no extra cost because they are covered by the mandatory student health fees you pay each semester.
Carbon Health provides the following services to all students:
In-Clinic and Virtual Primary Care
Carbon Health’s Primary Care Providers (PCPs) are board-certified and equipped to handle a broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses. Carbon Health’s providers are the designated PCPs to all students enrolled in UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP). Carbon Health’s clinics staff Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physicians Assistants (PAs), as well as Doctors of Medicine (MDs) and Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs).
In-Clinic and Virtual Urgent Care
Carbon Health Urgent Care is equipped to treat non-life-threatening conditions, immediate medical attention, and general medical needs.
In-Clinic and Virtual Women’s Health
Carbon Health offers women’s health services, such as annual exams, PAP smears, and contraception education, medicated abortion, and prescriptions.
In-Clinic and Virtual LGBTQ+ Health
Carbon Health clinics are inclusive, judgement-free zones. They offer LGBTQ+ health services, such as annual physicals, chest/breast health, HIV/AIDS treatment & prevention (including PrEP and PEP), and hormone management.
Virtual Mental Health
Carbon Health offers virtual mental health counseling to help you during challenging times. These services are offered at no charge for up to eight visits. Carbon Health’s counselors and therapists offer one-on-one therapy via live, virtual sessions that are goal-specific and delivered through evidence-based treatment. Their counselors and therapists are experienced in addressing the particular needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, Carbon Health also offers virtual group therapy, such as bar exam support groups, grief support groups, anxiety support groups, and environmental response therapy to address current events.
