All law schools accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) must receive official transcripts verifying all academic credits undertaken and degree(s) conferred from matriculated students by no later than the date in October by which law schools are required to report their student populations to the ABA. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the law school administratively withdrawing students from its program.
If the transcript(s) you submitted to the UC Law SF MLS Admissions Office as part of your application clearly conveyed that your degree(s) have been conferred, no further action should be required on your part.
If they do not, as soon as possible, but by no later than August 1, arrange to have the institution(s) that granted your degree(s) send an OFFICIAL copy of your final transcript(s) directly to UC Law SF. If UC Law SF has not received your transcript(s) verifying all academic credits undertaken and degree(s) conferred by October 1, you will not be able to register for Spring 2027 courses.
Orientation is a mandatory, in-person event. If you must seek your employer’s permission, please start working on that early. More information will be available in July 2026.
